The Chatham Kent Women’s Centre provides group based opportunities for women continuing on the journey of self-advocacy, education and support.
Domestic Violence Education Group is an 8-week program with focus on what is abuse, the effects of abuse on relationships and children who witness violence and abuse in their home. Safety planning and legal supports are incorporated in the program delivery.
Pre-registration for the program is required. The group is offered Wednesday afternoons up to 4 times per year.
Domestic Violence Continuing On Group is an open group program with information to build on previous education supports surrounding domestic violence and the effects of abuse on relationships. Guest speakers are invited to attend the group to provide knowledge regarding housing, finances, health, child development and more.
Pre-registration for the program is required. The group is offered weekly, alternating on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
